History and Models of Hyundai Equus

The Hyundai Equus was first introduced in 1999 as a luxury sedan in South Korea. In 2010, the Equus was introduced in the US market, replacing the Hyundai Genesis sedan as the company's flagship model. The first-generation Equus (1999-2009) came with a V6 or V8 engine and was marketed mostly in South Korea. The current Equus (2017-present) comes in two trim levels, the Signature and the Ultimate. Both trims come with a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 429 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque.
