The Tesla Model 3 and Model Y are not equipped with a standard OBD2 port. Instead, a console connector is infront of the back seat of the vehicle, wherein you can plug-in an OBD2 tool or device using a Tesla OBD2 adapter.

INSTALLATION

In order to successfully install the adapter cable, it is crucial that the vehicle is either switched off completely or the HV loop and 12V are disconnected. To switch off the vehicle using the display, it is important to ensure that no sensors are being operated, such as doors, seats, and pedals. Once all sensors are idle, give it a moment, and you will hear the distinct sound of the HV contactor clicking, indicating that the vehicle has switched off entirely. At this point, it is safe to disconnect the CANBUS and insert the adapter cable. However, if you do not hear the clicking sound, you will need to disconnect both the HV loop, located right under the rear seat bench, and the 12V. Now, to install the cable, simply remove the cover of the center console beneath the ventilation nozzles in the rear footwell. Please note that the cover is only attached with clips, making it easy to remove.
