Since there are no metal tubes to absorb additional engine heat, cool down of the intake charge occurs faster after a warm re-start. In addition, this intake system is designed to keep all factory crankcase filtration intact and working, unlike many other Abarth intake systems offered which leaves unfiltered air to enter the engine via the valve cover vent.
As stated above, the filter unit is the famous K&N air filter and does contain the factory's full million mile warranty. The sound the intake produces is not unlike a car with an external blowoff valve. You can hear the air whoosh between every shift.
