All vehicles today are controlled by advanced computer systems that monitor and adjust engine characteristics based on sensory information. There are many variables in how an engine performs; one variable the Stage 1 Performance Chip modifies is the Fuel/Air mixture. By adjusting the computers MAP of the fuel air mixture, you can achieve horsepower restricted from the factory settings.

Why factory ECU settings are lacking?

Due to emissions and other government regulations, power regulations exist. Some of the ECU settings issued by the manufacture are modest if not dull when compared against the potential of your engine.

How Does the Stage 1 Work?

The Stage 1 is designed to modify the fuel air mixture and timing to your engine. The Stage 1 typically can be installed in 15 minutes on most vehicles. There is no soldering involved.  No ECU modifications.  For the installation you must locate 2 wires in your engine bay feeding signal to the ECU. Our chip comes with step by step instructions on how to find these two wires.  
All horsepower claims are measured by a Dyno Jet Brand dyno. All horsepower are to the wheels. Unlike other companies we do not make claims that aren't entirely true.  Up to 25% of power can be lost from the crank to the wheel, power you would never notice.

Q: Will this chip work on my Turbo or Diesel vehicle?

A: No. We do not recommend installation on Turbo or Diesel versions of vehicles. Please purchase our other performance products for these types of vehicles.

Q: Is this a universal or one size fits all Module?

A: No. Each module is programmed to fit the vehicle in the title only. Although modules are similar in shape, each application is different based on your vehicle's engine specifications.

Q: Are instructions included?

A: Full instructions are included.

Q: What is included?

A: You will receive the performance modules along with installation hardware.

Q: Will it void my vehicles warranty?

A: No. Manufactures cannot void warranty because of aftermarket parts. Further, the part can be removed within 10 minutes or less.

Q: Will this chip work with other performance chips?

A: Yes, our stage 1 is designed to work with both our Voltage Performance Module and our stage 2 chip. Maximum performance can be achieved with multiple products used together.

Q: Do I need special tools or skills?

A: No special tools are need other than the basic screw driver and set of plyiers.

Q: Will this module fit my engine?

A: Yes, if the part is listed for your vehicle, we insure fitment.

Q: Will this chip damage my engine?

A: No. The modified ECU signals never exceed manufacturer's limitations.
